“Nick has a knack for understanding CIOs’ needs today and the roadmap we need to meet their needs in the future,” said Yan Ness, CEO of Online Tech. “So we are absolutely thrilled to put him in a position to drive our future technology and product strategy.”
Lumsden has been with the company for two years and has 17 years of experience within the technology industry, including healthcare, data analytics and cloud computing. He says he’s excited to expand Online Tech’s product development system.
“We’ve got a rapidly changing industry with more and more data moving to the cloud,” Lumsden said. “So we really want to provide greater security and enterprise capability in response to the accelerating pace of change in our industry. I’m excited that we’re changing the pace of how our team interacts, having greater collaboration and gathering more rapid feedback from our staff and customers to make our products that much better.”
Lumsden plans to fully address business continuity, security and platform management starting in January.
“Business continuity is the key components that will allow us to tailor business continuity solutions to our clients’ needs,” he said. “Our goal is to create a frictionless experience that grants our clients greater transparency and the ability to adapt rapidly to the changes in their business needs.”
To provide a platform for customers to see their OT products at a high level and manage them from a product level through to self-serving the infrastructure itself. According to Lumsden, this will allow cloud customers to make changes on the fly and have greater transparency into performance and configuration.
He also plans to offer greater clarity and visibility into the ongoing benefits of Online Tech’s security products.
“The primary issue with security is that clients often cannot see the value — they are buying silence,” he added. “We want to surface that value by creating transparency into what those products are doing.”
