Online Tech Accepts Sixth FastTrack Award at MLive’s Deal of the Year Award Ceremony

Last Friday, Online Tech accepted their sixth FastTrack Award at the Deals of the Year ceremony hosted by MLive Media Group and the Ann Arbor News. Online Tech has won the FastTrack Award six years, from 2006-2008, 2009, 2012-2013.

The FastTrack Award is presented by Ann Arbor SPARK, an annual program sponsored by Ann Arbor SPARK recognizing companies in Washtenaw County for outstanding business success. According to their site, awards are presented to companies that had at least $100,000 gross revenue in 2009, with an annual average growth of 20 percent for the following three years.

Online Tech was also nominated for the Technology Deal of the Year Award and pitted against the Toyota Technical Center and the University of Michigan Mobility Transformation Center. Toyota won the award for their $28 million investment in their local tech center.

MLive’s excerpt on why we were nominated: “After attracting a $20 million investment in 2012, the data center company doubled in size to 50 employees. Online Tech also consolidated its headquarters into a 10,000 square foot space in Ann Arbor as it continues to expand operations at its centers in Pittsfield Township. The company moved to a co-CEO structure and Yan Ness, one of the CEOs, was named a finalist in the Ernst and Young regional Entrepreneur of the Year.”
