Online Tech Speaks on Cloud Computing Panel

Join Online Tech’s COO & President Mike Klein at the Great Lakes Innovation and Technology (GLITR)’s Last Thursdays Unwired event for a panel discussion on Cloud Computing: Sunshine or Rain For Your BusinessHeld Thursday, September 27 at the Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Mich., the panel on cloud computing will be moderated by WWJ Newsradio 950 Technology Editor Matt Roush.

Description: Cloud computing. Everybody’s talking about it. But what is it? How can it help your business? Is the cloud safe? What should you look for in a cloud computing provider? What economic opportunity does cloud computing mean for Michigan?

The panel will address how the cloud can help your business, security and best practices when selecting a cloud computing provider.  On a state-wide level, the panel of experts will also address what economic opportunity cloud computing means for the State of Michigan.

The panel will include the following industry experts:

  • Mike Klein, President & COO of Online Tech LLC, Ann Arbor
  • Eric Mowry, Director of Technology, Secure-24 Inc., Southfield
  • David J. White, Regional Director-Southeast Michigan, Windstream Business, Bingham Farms

The Last Thursdays Unwired Coffee Series features a panel of experts on the last Thursday of each month, September-March, for knowledge-sharing discussions on the impact of technology on a variety of industries and subjects. Registration is free but pre-registration is encouraged.

Mike Klein, President and Chief Operating Officer

Mike is a serial entrepreneur with more than 30 years of high tech business leadership, technology, and startup experience including CEO of Interlink Networks, Managing Partner of CompanyCrafters, and CEO /Founder of Steeplechase Software, an INC 500 Company which he sold to Schneider Electric. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mike spent the first decade of his career working in sales, strategic marketing and product development at Motorola Semiconductor and Rockwell International.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, and has a half a dozen patents to his name.
