According to the Department of Homeland Security, mobile devices present prolific security risks and points of potentially unauthorized access. During iRounds’ evaluation of potential hosting partners, they sought out cloud providers that could fulfill the security, compliance and availability requirements to protect ePHI (electronic protected health information).

An independent Certified HIPAA Security Specialist (CHSS) found the company to be 100% compliant across all 54 standards of the Administrative (164.308), Physical (164.310), Technical (164.312), and Organizational (164.314) Safeguards detailed in the HIPAA Security Rule. The rule states that covered entities and their business associates must protect the availability, integrity and confidentiality of PHI, and report any violations of PHI misuse to the Office of Civil Rights (OCR).
