NOLA’s so nice, we had to go twice. Currently we’re at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans for HIMSS 13, a huge national conference (last year in Las Vegas it pulled in more than 30,000 people) dedicated to finding ways to optimize IT and management systems for the enrichment of the healthcare industry.
Next month, we’re going to be back again, this time for the 2013 ETA (Electronic Transactions Association) Annual Meeting & Expo. We’ll be at booth #1237 exhibiting the PCI hosting solutions we have available, so if you’ll be down there, we’d love you to stop by and say hi or answer questions. It’s going to be April 30th-May 2nd, at the New Orleans Convention Center, and the ETA says there will be around 200 exhibitors and over 3,000 industry executives to meet and learn from.
This is an amazing opportunity for merchants looking to find out more about PCI compliance. For example, on April 30th, Troy Leach, the Chief Technology Officer on the PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council) is going to be speaking about how mobile resources fit into the PCI landscape, as well as some important challenges that arise when working to secure cardholder data. Later that same day, Randy Gainer of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP will be talking about some of the issues related to mobile payment solutions in the cloud.
